What’s on the menu at WordCamp London?

We’ve already announced what will be served during our Saturday social (pies!), but if you were wondering what is on the menu throughout the WordCamp London weekend, here’s what to expect.


Friday 13 April – Contributor day

Refreshments

Drinks & snacks available all day.

Drinks: Coffee, decaf coffee, tea, cold drinks and water
Snacks: Biscuits and fruit bowl

Lunch

Lunch is provided between 13:00 and 14:00.

  • Homemade Chicken Goujon served with Potato Wedges and ketchup sauce & green beans and carrots
  • Cous Cous and Red Pepper Sauce Ratatouille served with Rice (vegan)

Saturday 14 April

Refreshments

Drinks & snacks available all day.

Drinks: Coffee, decaf coffee, tea, cold drinks and water
Snacks: Biscuits and fruit bowl

Lunch

Lunch is provided between 12:30 and 14:00. Selection of wraps, sandwiches, crudites with dips, finger food, bread rolls, salads, frittata, veg platters.

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea will be served between 15:40 and 16:10. 3-layer carrot cake, passion cake, orange and poppy seed cake, chocolate fudge cake, mini donuts, selection of gluten-free and vegan cakes/sweets.

Dinner at Saturday social

Dinner will be served starting at 19:00.

  • Spinach & Mushroom (vegan)

Sides

  • Selection of mash (vegan)
  • Selection of peas (vegan)
  • Baked Beans (vegan)

Sunday 15 April

Refreshments

Drinks: Coffee, decaf coffee, tea, cold drinks and water
Snacks: Biscuits and fruit bowl

Lunch

Lunch is provided between 12:00 and 13:30. Selection of wraps, sandwiches, crudites with dips, finger food, bread rolls, salads, frittata, veg platters.

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea will be served between 15:10 and 15:30. 3-layer carrot cake, passion cake, orange and poppy seed cake, chocolate fudge cake, mini donuts, selection of gluten-free and vegan cakes/sweets.

A note about water

We won’t distribute water in disposable plastic bottles: water fountains and two drinks stations will be provided at all times, so please do remember to carry a re-usable water bottle with you.

Special dietary requirements

During Saturday and Sunday lunches and evening social dinner, there will be a special dietary requirements serving area. If you have special dietary requirements, please head to this table with your badge.

Early and late lunch

Please note, if you’re a sponsor or volunteer, we will give you either early or late access to lunch. This is to ensure you don’t miss out due to your other commitments.

  1. It appears that it’ll be catered for two extremes, meat eaters and vegan, but not for pure vegetarians who appreciate dairy products like cream and cheese … *sigh* …
    Any chance for eggless pastries and eggless cake with cream ..?

  2. Hi Michael, thank you for your comment! Catering to the extremes and making it work for both meat eaters and vegans is the best way to ensure the widest range of dietary requirements are satisfied, while at the same time keeping the number of options low. If we got into all the possible combinations of meat, eggs, dairy products, gluten, nuts, and lack of one or more of those, we’d simply be left with too many options for our catering supplier!

    We’re proud of the quality of the food we’ll be serving, we know our attendees appreciate our efforts to cater to the widest range of people, and we’re absolutely confident that you’ll love the vegan cakes—to the point where you won’t even notice the lack of cream or cheese!
